Professor Pavla Čapková has another significant achievement to her credit in the field of nanotechnology research. She has succeeded in forming a team of research experts from the Faculty of Natural Science and the Faculty of the Environment at UJEP which will collaborate with six other research institutes on the research infrastructure NanoEnviCz – Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology for Environmental Protection and a Sustainable Future from 2016 to 2022.

This excellent research in the fields of nanomaterials and nanotechnology will focus not only on environmental applications, but also, for example, on the creation of an effective platform for cooperation between organizations and their external users. Scientists also want to focus on the development and preparation of highly effective and novel nanostructured materials for permanently sustainable development.
Last but not least, scientists have been training their eyes on new technologies for the protection and rehabilitation of the environment. NanoEnviCz offers services in the fields of heterogeneous (photo)catalysis, technology for the sustainable acquisition and storage of energy, nanotechnology for the capture, detection, and chemical degradation of pollutants (polluting substances), or technology related to their monitoring.
